Strong foreign investments in 2022.
Foreign investments at a high level in real estate market and finance.
NEWSMONTENEGRO NEWS
With the strongest housing market growth of + 32.4% in one year (Q3 2020 – Q3 2021), Montenegro real estate market is still going strong in 2022 with the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.
One of the reasons is the foreigner’s acquisition of real estate with 184 million euros, the highest amount since 2014, knowing that many foreign nationals with Montenegrin residency and sometimes Montenegrin company, buy properties in Montenegro as well, showing confidence in the country’s future.
Also, for the first nine months of 2021, foreign citizens and companies invested 600 million euros in Montenegrin businesses.
Two recent examples are the acquisition in February 2022 of Delta City, Montenegrin’s largest shopping mall, by the Israeli “BIG Shopping Centers” for 95 million euro, or Nakheel, the Dubai developer of “The Palm Islands” (including “The Palm Jumeirah”), taking advantage of the “Citizenship-by-Investment” program and offering the Montenegrin passport for buyers of selected properties in Porto Montenegro.
