A new highway along Montenegrin coast.
From Trieste in Italy to Kalamata in Greece, the “Adriatic-Ionian Highway” will develop even more the Montenegrin tourism sector, and the economy in general.

Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, and Greece, that is the list of countries that the 1,550 kilometers long highway will connect.
Existing roads on the coast has been designed and built in the 1960s, and the past fifty years saw a significant increase of traffic volume, mainly due to tourism.
It will increase the road safety level, reduce road congestion, fuel consumption, emissions, and noise levels, and much better connect the neighboring countries.The US based Bechtel appears in good position to conduct the project, estimated to cost around USD 1.5 billion.
A train linking Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania is also one of the hot topics of the near future, The existing Bar-Boljara highway is underway, with the first section to be opened this summer, making it very easy to access Kolasin ski resort from Podgorica.
