Earth Observation Satellite
Bangladesh’s second satellite, Bangabandhu-2 will be a Low Earth Orbite Observation Satellite.

After several month, PriceWaterhouseCoopers handed over its report to the government and based on it, the decision was taken to launch an Earth observation satellite in Low Earth Orbit.
That will allow Bangladesh to monitor floods and natural disasters, crops, sea levels… The satellite will have a commercial use as well, enabling selling its data to customers in Central African and Middle Eastern countries that don’t have such capacity.
For this second launch, the total cost will be lower than for Bangabandhu-1, as Bangladesh has already a ground station and accompanying infrastructure.
