When Bangladesh independence was declared, the country was in ruins, without functioning administration and not a single dollar in reserve. Today, Bangladesh has about USD 43 billion in foreign reserves, the second in South Asia after India, food production was multiplied by 4. From 6 universities and 6 medical colleges in 1971, there are now 164 universities and 107 medical colleges alongside 14,000 community clinics built…

Of course, the situation is not perfect, and a lot of efforts needs to be done, but Bangladesh can proudly serve as an example of a country without any resources, who with hard work and a vision of the future sustainably develop itself.
