Who's gonna be the next China? The answer is not as simple as it seems.

The world thinks of India as the obvious answer to the question: Who’s going to be the next China?
The reality is often more contrasted, and in this case after 30 years of trying to mirror China’s footsteps, India found itself trailing Bangladesh.
One of the main reasons is Bangladesh’s ability to figure out how to absorb its working age population in industrial jobs. That allowed a shift of population from rural areas of the countries to cities, Dhaka in particular, an increase in female working force, a way to finance infrastructure projects, all this leading to an increase of the middle class and local consumption.
In conclusion, there’s no next China, simply a group of countries starting without many resources, who carefully planned a way to develop their countries, and are today able to become soon a strong and developed economy.
Bangladesh is one of them, and maybe the leader of that group of countries…
